Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 October 2026

This policy explains how the NedPlayer app (Windows, Android, Android TV, iOS and macOS) and the nedplayer.com website handle personal data.

1. Overview

This notice explains how the App handles personal data, including under Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK).

NedPlayer (the Developer) is the data controller. The App has no analytics or tracking, and your data is never sold. It is passed to third parties (app stores, sign-in and ad services) only as far as needed to provide what this notice describes.

NedPlayer is only a media player; it provides no channels or content. What you watch comes straight from the IPTV provider you add to your device, and never passes through the Developer's server.

2. Your Account and Cloud Data

Using the App needs an account. With it, the Developer's server keeps:

  • Account details: name, e-mail, username or phone; your password only as a one-way hash (Argon2id); the Google or Apple account's id if you signed in with one
  • Licence and purchase records (the store's purchase id, plan and period)
  • Your signed-in devices: device name, platform, app version and a one-way hash of the device's id
  • Your cloud data: your IPTV users (nickname, server address, username, password), favorites, hidden channels and categories, recently watched, where you left off, and your IPTV user settings

Your cloud data is stored encrypted with a key of your own (AES-256-GCM) and handed only to your own sessions over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). It isn't readable in the database, nor shown in the Developer's admin tools.

To stop the free trial being taken again and again, one-way hashes of the device, e-mail and Google/Apple account that used a trial are kept, even after the account is deleted. They can't be turned back into who you are.

Codes to verify your e-mail address are sent from [email protected], through the Developer's own mail server. That address doesn't read replies; for questions, write to [email protected].

3. Purchases

Paid plans are bought through your device's app store (Google Play, App Store, Microsoft Store). Your payment details (card etc.) are handled by the store alone; the Developer never sees them. To open your licence, the Developer's server only has the store confirm the purchase.

4. Ads

On the free plan, on Android and iOS, a rewarded ad is loaded from Google AdMob only when you choose to watch one. To serve and measure it, Google may process data such as your device's advertising ID, IP address and device details under its own privacy policy.

You can reset your advertising ID or turn off personalised ads in your device's settings. Paid plans and Windows show no ads.

5. Data Kept on Your Device

To work, the App also keeps on your device: a copy of your cloud data, playback and display settings, files you download, and a cache (channel/movie/series lists, images, programme guide). Your session keys are kept in the system's secure storage.

IPTV user passwords are stored unencrypted on the device. If you share the device, we recommend protecting your device account with a password. Signing out removes your account's data from the device (it stays in the cloud).

6. Network Connections

The App only connects to what it needs:

  • The Developer's server (account, licence and cloud sync)
  • Google's or Apple's sign-in page, when you sign in with them
  • Your device's app store, for purchases (Google Play, App Store, Microsoft Store)
  • The IPTV server you add (sign-in, lists and streams); what you watch never passes through the Developer's server
  • Image addresses sent by your provider (posters and logos)
  • An external programme guide (EPG) source, if you chose one
  • Google AdMob's servers when you watch an ad on the free plan
  • Cloudflare's speed test servers when you start a Speed Test

Those servers can see your IP address. Third-party servers' data handling follows their own policies.

7. The Website

nedplayer.com uses no analytics or advertising cookies. Only the language and theme you pick are kept in your browser, to be remembered on your next visit.

8. Deleting Your Data

You can delete your account and all your cloud data for good at any time in the App under Settings > User Details > Delete User. Deleting a single IPTV user deletes its cloud data too.

If you can't reach the App, ask for deletion by writing to [email protected] from the e-mail address on your account; it is carried out within 30 days at the latest.

Store subscriptions aren't cancelled by deleting the account; cancel them in the store as well.

9. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and no personal data is knowingly collected from them. If you become aware of such a case, tell us and the account will be deleted.

10. Changes

This policy may be updated. The current version is always published on this page and in the App; the date above shows the last change.

11. Your Rights and Contact
